“I thoroughly enjoyed the Isle of Skoo program as a mentor and I felt that it gave both the mentors and mentees a way to gain confidence in themselves. It also did a great job of helping the mentees express themselves well both socially and emotionally. Having puppets involved along with music and crafts made the program fun for everyone involved and brought up many conversations that I could have with my mentee to create a bond with them. The program also has aspects that appeal to a variety of people, which helps everyone who is involved become engaged in the program. Overall, I felt that the Isle of Skoo program was very beneficial for both the mentors and the mentees and that it will have lasting effects on the people involved.”
